For today, I bring you yet another very special interview with a good friend of mine and fellow blogger, my baybree KENDAL BEE! Most of you have been following his blog, A DAY IN THE LIFE OF KENDAL( http://kendalbritton.blogspot.com/ ) and simply can not get enough of the juicy, sweet, loving, and eye catching stories of his life.

Well today Kendal lets us in a bit deeper and shares some great things with us. A lot of these things most of us would never guess about him, but soon you will know and only RoCkii/Della, could bring it to you. I really hope you all enjoy. Thank you so much for reading!

1. How long have you been a blogger? What do you think of all of the
success you have had with your blog? People really love to hear about
your life and your thoughts. Did you ever think anyone would be
interested in YOUR life?

I started blogger on November 26th of last year. It was the day after my 22nd birthday. I hate having a birthday so close to Thanksgiving so that week is usually pretty boring for me because the holiday overshadows my birthday. Anyway, I had been wanting to write for a while and everyone says, “Kendal you need a reality show!” So I started blogging. Yes and No when it comes to the questions about anyone being interested in my life. I was writing for me and I didn’t think it would be so popular, but I knew a couple of people would start reading it. I didn’t think it would be this many people though.

2. If you had a clothing line, what would you name it? What message would you like to send to the buyers of your fashions?

I’m just going to be honest. I would never have a clothing line. I love
clothes, but I love so many other things so much more. I love food, and
writing and electronics so I’d have a restaurant before I’d have a
clothing line.

3. Can you think of a really hard time you’ve had in your life? What kinds
of things helped pull you through? Can you remember the emotions from
that time period that you were feeling? What were they?


When I found out the man who raised me wasn’t my biological father,
that was a really hard time and it really hurt. My parents lied to me
and it seemed like I didn’t know who I was anymore. I was so angry at
everyone, but I realized that they thought they were trying to protect
me. But I have such a huge family now. My biological dad has a huge
family and they’re so nice. I love them all.

4. Looking back on all that you and Terry have endured, do you KNOW this
is the man that you want to spend the rest of your life with? How does
he really make you feel on a day to day basis from just seeing him to
just hearing his voice?



Yes.
I KNOW this is the man I want to spend the rest of my life with. Terry
makes me feel like I’m his number one priority and I think that’s great
because he’s a father. He has a daughter who he loves a lot and
ultimately I know she’s number one in his life, but he makes me feel
like I’m all that matters. Does that make sense?

5. What things do you like to do to entertain yourself that others would have never thought you liked to do?



LOL!
Wow, I love playing video games with my friends though I’m not good at
it. I come from a big family so my older brother usually never let me
play or my sisters were occupying the televisions. Another thing people
don’t know is that I really love soccer. I played tennis in college,
but soccer was always my first love.

6. How in tune are you with your emotional side?

I’m an extremely emotional person. My friends call me an “emotional wreck”
sometimes. I cry at least once a week and it helps me. To me it feels
good to cry, so I just go somewhere alone and let it out. Well maybe
not always once a week, but it happens a few times a month.

7. When is the last time you can remember thinking another person was hopeless and would never change?



That’s a great question. I rarely think like this when it comes to people. I
think everyone is capable of changing for the better and I know that
sounds like I’m just saying it, but people are usually quick to say
“once you get on my bad side, there’s no turning back” but I’m not like
that. I’m a true believer of redemption and how everyone deserves a
second chance.

8. Do you and Terry argue much? Who has got the most attitude in the relationship?


Haha! Terry and I don’t really argue. He might get mad if I can’t pick a
restaurant to eat at because I can be really indecisive, but the only
time we’ve ever argued was over abortion because we have different
views on it. We’ve never had an argument where we were upset with the
other person. Now with the attitude, I think it’s equal. Terry is
really calm and collected but when he’s irritated with something, he
has a smart mouth. He got pulled over once and the officer was just
going to give him a warning, so Terry decided to take it upon himself
to let this man know that he’s just out wasting people’s time. Terry
ended up getting the ticket and I was confused on how you talk yourself
into a ticket. I rarely get an attitude unless someone is just too
ignorant to deal with. Then I let them have it.

9. What advice would you give someone about following their dreams?

I always think when people are asked this question, it’s such a hard
question to answer. I think hard work gets us the things we need and
working even harder gets us what we want. So I’d have to say work hard
and don’t lose focus.

10. What kind of reception are you most used to amongst most gay men you come in contact with? IE. The Club, Bar.

Gay men are all so different and sometimes you never know what your going
to get. I try to be nice to everyone because you never know what
someone’s going through, BUT in the club the older men (30 and up) are
always nice to me. Usually people my age and younger just don’t like
me, but when they take the chance to get to know me they usually say
I’m nice.

11. Do you feel like because you are very handsome or look good that most people just want to get to know you because of that? How does it feel when you think people are just wanting to be around you because you arebeautiful and giving you special treatment? (if you ever even feel that way baby)

You think I’m handsome?! Awww, you’re too sweet! I don’t know how to answer
the question…I’m a really trusting person and I think that’s a good
and a bad thing. I’ve come across issues like this but the one that I
really had to learn and get used to are with the older men. A lot of
them are too nice and just want to have sex with me. Oh and there was
another time when my friend and I went to the financial aid office when
I was in college and the woman was so rude to him and extremely nice to
me and I think it was because he was dark skinned and so I had to call
her out on it. Long story short, she started crying and security made
me leave.



12. What are your top 7 favorite places to eat!? :)

Oooh!
I like this question! It doesn’t take much to please me, especially
when it comes to food. I guess I’ll start from 7 and go to 1.

7. Sonic—Doesn’t everyone love a good slush? The lemon berry slushes are great! And I love the bacon egg and cheese toaster!

6. Red Lobster—Lol I feel like people are judging me when I say this, but the cheese biscuits alone are worth the trip.

5. IHOP/Waffle House—It speaks for itself right? Late night after club…Yes sir!

4. Terry’s kitchen—My boyfriend is a great cook! It shocks me at times because food shouldn’t be that good.

3. Mellow Mushroom—Pizza is my favorite food and they’re pizza is great.

2. The Cheesecake Factory—I’m not big on Italian food other than pizza, but I love this place.

1. Connor’s Steak House—I heard it’s owned by Demi Moore, but I go there
all the time. I love their shrimp, fish, chicken, and Calamari, my
boyfriend loves the Steak and salads. Oh and they have the best peach
tea in the world.

13. Any one of you the jealous type in the relationship? Or would you say not jealous but PROTECTIVE?

I don’t think either of us is really the jealous type because at the end
of the night we’re still going to be with one another. But if you
blatantly disrespect one of us, it’s bad. If a guy comes to Terry and
sees that we’re together and touches him or says something he shouldn’t
say, then I’m gonna tell him about himself. Terry’s the same way, but
he’ll give the dude a warning and they usually back off. 



14. What occupation(s) do you think are really hot careers now? Would you pursue any of them?

I think being a fireman is extremely hot! Lol, I know that’s not what you
meant, but if I could go back and get my degree in something else, it
would probably be math. I’m great at math and getting a degree in
Teaching English Language Arts has made me develop a hatred for the
English language.

15. When you were a child, what toys did you absolutely love?

I loved so many toys!! I was the biggest Power Ranger fan and had every
single toy ever made. I loved Ninja Turtles too, but I was a Power
Ranger Kid. But I actually played outside more than I did with toys.

16. What do you think the world needs more of and why?


I think the world needs more Black gay writers. I hope that didn’t make
me sound bad, but E. Lynn Harris and James Baldwin are such big
inspirations to me and I just hope someone else can step up to the
plate and follow in their footsteps.

18. Sexually, I wish I was more __________________.

I honestly don’t feel like anything is lacking in my sex life. It’s hot,
I’m happy, I know Terry’s happy. It’s challenging, if that makes sense
and I like the challenge.


19. One thing I really need to improve on character wise is __________________.

My nervousness. I get anxious really easy and when I get too overwhelmed, i have panic attacks.

20. When I hear ______________, I just have to_______________.

21. It warms my heart to know that_____________________.

my friends love me. I’ve gotten so many friends since I started blogging
and they are extremely special to me. I actually just want to name
three of them, I’m gonna use twitter names because I don’t know how
they feel about me calling them out, but amauhd, I love you so much!
onesoulfulnegro you’re amazingly brilliant, and blaq_majik you’re the
kindest person I know.


22. I would not be anywhere without ____________. 

God. I know that sounds cliche but its true. I guess if I were to give another
answer it would be my parents. My mom is so strong and my dad is my
best friend in the whole world.


23. When someone looks a mess, I _______________________.


can be a little bad. When someone looks bad in the club and I’ve been
drinking, I have theses little “interventions.” Once I went up to a
girl who was wearing a green t-shirt but the stomach was cut out. She
was also wearing tights and to make matters worse, she was pregnant.
You don’t go to a smoke-filled establishment when you’re pregnant. So I
pulled her to the side and told her and maybe I was wrong because
basically I told her that she looked a hot mess, but I really believe
some people want to be talked about. Now when you go to Wal-mart and
see a hot mess, you aren’t supposed to judge them, you just take
pictures!
